The M-Free 99 is an awesome ski. The 99 keeps all the playful qualities of the larger ski in the line, but it gains a little less taper and rocker as a narrower version of the M-Free 108. Dynastar uses a hybrid wood core, with polyurethane along the sides and poplar wood along the length of the ski's middle chord. This is a fairly extensive use of PU material in a ski, and it works well to improve the ski's energy, wetness, silence, and stability without adding more metal. The fiberglass laminate encircles the center wood core, forming a torsion box that effectively maintains the ski's extreme rigidity, snap, and pop.
